The data provides a representation of the geometry and topology of tax parcels. It is not intended to be used for the legal determination of land ownership or to be in any way a substitute for the land ownership and interest descriptions contained in individual deeds. The interpretation of legal description parcels may differ for tax purposes vs. zoning purposes.

Horizontal Accuracy:

Compiled to meet NMAS (National Map Accuracy Standards) for 1" = 100' scale mapping

(3.33 feet horizontal accuracy at 90% confidence level)

Rural areas are mapped using COGO techniques based on PLSS section corner land survey data.

The City of Green Lake is mapped using COGO techniques based on block corner land survey data.

The City of Berlin is partially mapped using COGO techniques based on block corner land survey data, other parts are mapped with limited land survey data and may show error greater than the standard, verify parcels in Waushara county.

The Plat of Manchester (unincorporated), Village of Marquette, Village of Kingston, City of Markesan, City of Princeton, Grand River Marsh, and White River Marsh are mapped with limited land survey data and may show error greater than the standard.

Mapping of easements and highway right-of-way lines is not complete and those lines should be verified. Ownership interest in highway right-of-way for abutting parcels should be confirmed.

There is a long term program in place to complete all parcel mapping to a consistent accuracy.
