To learn about the contents of the database, refer to these two documents first:

1) attributeInfo.pdf
-----This is a large table that lists all water feature attibutes (i.e., columns) in the database. Most people will use this database to explore different water feature characteristics (e.g., drainage area, upstream land cover composition)--this table can be used to look up whether or not a specific water feature characteristic is in the database.
 
2) hydro_va_schematicDiagram.pdf
-----This is a database schematic diagram showing the various feature classes and tables in the database, and the various IDs that relate to each other. This table will be useful to understand the IDs in which a feature classes and tables can be joined.

-----This document narratively describes how the database was created from watershed creation to feature attribution.
